When Lucy Lula Rumbaugh (Sutton) was born on January 13, 1873, in Saline, Nebraska, her father, John, was 33, and her mother, Lucy, was 35. She married Frank Leonard Terrell on July 2, 1893, in Nebraska. They had four children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on April 16, 1902, in her hometown.
