Cousin Wendell was different … slightly retarded yet a functional adult in later years. A story was told that when he was in his early twenties, he claimed he knew the exact day and TIME that he would die. He was quite fixated on it and as the day came closer, he grew very agitated. So … someone came up with the idea of setting his clock ahead thinking once past the actual death time, Wendell would breath a sigh of relief when it didn’t happen. But he had been so sure that he was going to died that the idea kind of backfired, and when he found that the clock had been purposely set wrong, he went a little crazy and was never the same afterwards.
