Arnold, R.B.p.o. Whitney Point, born in Columbia, Chenango County January 4, 1826, farmer, owns 214 acres, was enrolling officer and deputy marshal of Cortland County during the war, highway commissioner in Triangle; wife Drusilla Sirrine, daughter of John and Betsey (Ross) Sirrine of Honesdale, Penn., married in 1851; children, Edwin D., Emma D., now Mrs. Salma R. Johnson, of Triangle, Devern and Frank J. Parents, Henry and Desire (Ellis) Arnold, natives of Greenwich, Rhode Island.
Graves Alonzo p.o. Upper Lisle, born in Barker May 3, 1851, farmer, owns 100 acres; wife, Della D. Newell, daughter of Albert and Harriet (Johnson) Newell, natives of this county, married 1872 ; one child, E. Susie. Parents, Edward and Susan (Rose) Graves, the former a native of Connecticut who came to Barker in 1817.
Wheeler, William p.o. Windsor, born in 1835, admitted to the bar in Binghamton in 1853; wife, Jennie Cresson, married in 1875. Parents, Squire Franklin and Minerva (Bartholomew) Wheeler, the former began law practice in Deposit in 1830, settled in Windsor in 1835, married twice; one child by his first marriage and four by his second. He died in 1882.
